Laos: Govt committee formed to study medicinal marijuana
VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – The government has announced the formation of a task force committee to carry out a comprehensive study of marijuana for medical uses.
The Prime Minister’s Office recently issued an announcement appointing the Minister of Health, Associate Professor Dr Bounkong Syhavong to chair the committee.
The committee was told to carry out a study on the use of marijuana for medical purposes as well as its economic, social, and political impacts while ensuring its compliance with international principles.
